Flight 11: V2 era closes on Pad 1
October 13, 2025 wrapped second-generation Starship and first-generation Super Heavy flying from Pad 1’s then-current configuration — deploy, relight, stressed entry, and a banking demo for future Starbase returns.
What happened
Flight 11 lifted off at 6:23 p.m. CT on October 13, 2025 as the final flight of second-generation Starship and first-generation Super Heavy from Pad 1’s then-current setup.
Every major objective landed: ascent, hot-staging, booster splashdown profile, simulator deploy, in-space relight, and a data-rich reentry.
Deploy, relight, banking
Eight Starlink simulators deployed successfully, followed by the third in-space Raptor relight on the program.
Late in flight, Starship flew a dynamic banking maneuver to mimic trajectories future vehicles will use when returning all the way to Starbase instead of the Indian Ocean.
Handoff to V3
With V2’s integrated playbook proven, attention shifted to next-generation vehicles, Raptor 3, and Pad 2 — the hardware that would debut on Flight 12.
